Tutoring:
COTC offers in-home tutoring for grades K-5. Our teachers are experienced and certified in Elementary Education. An interactive approach is used, giving students an opportunity to show what they have learned. Our teachers are nurturing and have strong beliefs that each child can succeed when given appropriate support and encouragement.

Reading Instruction:
Our teachers are certified in Reading. They use a developmental approach with individualized remediation to meet your child’s needs. Each child is assessed to find strengths and weaknesses using the Developmental Reading Assessment, Burns and Roe Evaluation, Observation Survey and / or other widely used measurement tools. Leveled literature is used to meet your child’s instructional level. A systematic approach to phonics is also considered when teaching a child to decode and read more fluently. We use a multi-sensory approach to make reading fun.
